But since last weekend I've had problems where I go onto a website, whether in firefox, Chrome or ie and it crashes. When it crashes all the open programs close, anti virus, the lot. At the same time it change the file extensions so I can't run .exe files. Absolute pain as I have to go into regedit to change it back manually.
But then I run a full scan on AVG and it finds absolutely nothing. Any recommendations?'"
Put AVG down a long time ago. Used Avira free before purchasing Kaspersky. |

You downloaded Anti-Malware Bytes and let it scan? AVG doesn't cope too well with Malware.

A very good AV, the 2010 version can be picked up really cheap in The Works. |

It happened again tonight, massively annoying.
Another problem I'm having is Firefox. I have the latest version of it and the latest version of Adobe. But every time I go on a website with Flash content like embedded adverts, it crashes. I have to wait ten minutes or so before it will let me have control back and then it will say 'oops sorry the adobe plugin crashed, simply refresh the page to fix'. |

Happened to me using OSX 10.6.7, had to remove everything to do with Flash Player and Firefox and install them from fresh. |

Help.... My laptop has suddenly decided to die on me. Luckily I'd seen it coming and done a back up last minute, which was good.
So now I need a new, and importantly cheap, machine to work on. I don't need a CD/DVD player/writer, so wondered about netbooks. All I used my laptop for was writing, viewing pictures, and internet.
Opinions/suggestions/recommendations.. Been looking at ones at Tesco for about £180 or so, but sure I can do better.
I also need it yesterday...
