It'll be a damn sight more exciting than the bash 'n barge major matches. I expect flair, pazzazz and points a plenty in this match. Would be great to be able to show the RFL that there are still a significant number of fans in and around the Fax area. Alas I fear a "Broncos" turnout for this one.

this is a really important decision today.



The RFL has finally recognised that here in Halifax we have a stadium worthy of a World Cup game, and a Council who now recognise that Rugby League is the best way of promoing the Town and the Stadium, as well as being a potential money spinner



if we as a Town and more importantly we as rugby supporters make this game a huge success, it will be one in the eye for those who turned us down for Super League



and it will also establish the Shay as a potential international and national venue for important rugby league games. Our location right in the middle of the M62 corridor is a huge benefit for us . . . we now have to show the doubters that Halifax is indeed a Rugby Town. If the shay gets chosen for future big games it only adds to Fax's value to the RFL



So its in our best interests to try and get a full house or at least a respectable crowd for this game



as staff we shall be doing everything to make sure that it runs perfectly



BUT we shall need all your help to fill the place on the night

hope you will see the advantages for Fax and do all you can to help

It May not be the most high profile match, but it is a world cup match and we should fill the Stadium to prove to the powers that be that we do have a stadium fit for the top level.
