It tells us that Halifax stands on higher ground than Batley. It tells us that longer shadows are cast on more area of pitch as the Shay is less exposed. Now here's the science bit - the sloping pitch causes gravitational friction (gravifictatum) thus making it harder for the surface to freeze over. We should never have left the slopes of Thrum Hall.

Having seen the forecast for the next few days I doubt we will see any rugby on Sunday anywhere never mind Batley or Halifax. I assume the club will look at having a game the week after hopefully when the weather improves?

I read if they can't play Sunday they'll try again Tuesday at the Mount

It's meant to snow Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is a shame but I very much doubt that this game will be on and if somehow it is, how hard will it be for some ppl to get to the game?
