| Freddie's wig. Great post, The fat controller would have been a worried jelly if he had not squirmed his way into another juicy job.

| Yes still remember standing up thinking Blacky was bound to score only to see he had left the ball behind. Oh dear. He probably Is the one playerthat most of the memories are still brilliant though. It was his pace that really exited you.

| Quote Tony Fax="Tony Fax"ARE YOU LISTENING? Ben Black's dropped ball had nothing to do with Widnes being "promoted"
'"
ARE YOU NOT LISTENINING... It clearly did rules state you had to appear in the grand final or win the NR cup. The only way they got to the NR final was blacks dropped ball otherwise they could not apply for the franchise

| It's all very well everyone agreeing with Norman, but they're all wrong. Widnes beating us in the Northern Rail semi following Ben's hot potato experience was in 2009 and Widnes got that outrageous franchise in 2012. Widnes had already won the Northern Rail Cup in 2007 so, as I say, that semi win against us had nothing to do with their franchise success. We also bid for the franchise, enabled by that marvellous last attendance versus Batley of nearly 5,000 which put our required average to 2,500. I remember it well

I also noticed that. Terry mentioned the full time difference and I thought someone would correct him in his ear piece, but he said it again later
With no Championship coverage on SKY, this lot really did think London were cannon fodder but their ball handling was superior. Widnes had the bigger forwards but they looked shot at the end. Toulouse will give the Whinos a game tomorrow as well, mark my words. Am I right? I'm not wrong!

First of all well done London.
Secondly TonyFax are you morphing into Charlie C in his forum absence and know everything now?

| Widnes were dire - a lot of large lumpish full time professionals - no pride in their shirt - and little skill - they were lucky it wasn't a bigger defeat. I expect them to be far more physical in their remaining matches - its the only way Catalans survived last year.

| Widnes were lucky to be in the game in the last 20, ref let them lie on time and again. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the games are reffed, we’ve got Kendall who let Bird away with assault last season.

That certainly looked the case near the end when they were under a great deal of pressure. And how can Liam Finn possibly be "100% Widnes" when he's basically a stop gap? Even Charlie Gubb lost loads of steam - I bet he was surprised how hard London were. Only stand out Widnes player was their full back Ashall-Bott - now he does look very good.
Living The Dream - difference between me and Charlie is that he was proved quite often to be wrong, whereas still waiting for my first hit
