I'd have thought they'd have enough to worry about with their fitness and what looks like a really tough season ahead without an assistant coaching role in there as well. Unless you mean they are stopping playing?

Last few matches of 2014 was a very different situation, i do appreciate. I think the fitness side of things will be rather different. Did you hear Harry Rednapp's outburst this week over one of his players' fitness levels BTW ? £60k a week, doesn't want to train, play in the reserves & is 3 stones overweight, haha. Deal with him Harry, that's the secret, strong leadership. We will see a shift at Halifax on that score from recent seasons i expect.

Another forrard. I did like his letter to Swinton's fans though re him leaving The Lions.

TBF I thought I could remember him as a winger in days gone past. Hope he succeeds for us

Both have been coaching long enough now to have developed their own styles and abilities without being stereotyped as a certain type of coach because of their playing position!

Let me tell you, Halifax have gained a top coach and a top man as assistant coach. Well respected by any players he coached at Swinton and I for one am sorry we couldn't find a way to keep him.

He was still playing amateur summer league maybe last season or the one before iirc for Underbank or Slaithwaite. I remember seeing him barrel a few Greetland lads over down the hill one lovely summer's evening. I think he scored two or three tries in the first 10 or 15 mins.



I know a few lads who've worked with him in the pro game & they speak highly of him, welcome to the Fax young man. Good luck.

He played for Slaithwaite, he didn't like getting tacked at all. Dirty bugger!
