That's what I assume the 'rule' to be, too - unless 'liquidation' differs from 'administration'? However, there are noises coming out of Gateshead, about running with mainly local junior players next season - and that won't be any good for them, or the Championship. It looks like there are two options, if Gateshead drop down:-
1) Re-admit Leigh, to the Championship, or
2) Re-structure the Championship, with ten teams - most clubs have been making noises about having an odd number of teams in there, but I don't think they had in mind REDUCING the size of the League!
I don't have a lot of sympathy for Gateshead, the Club, but I do feel for their loyal fans - and we've all been there, eh?! |

I agree with most of your comments,but I honestly don't think any team in the Championship will be streets ahead of anyone else.
Leigh will not make the same mistakes of last year,which was to invest very little and concentrate on the next two seasons,being relegated was not on the agenda, big mistake all leigh fans accept.
Until a decision is made by the idiots in charge of our game,all is conjecture but if we do stay up,expect a very differant team from the one that nearly beat you this year |

You obviously did not come to Leigh,when Leigh thrw 3 points away,definately our worst performance at Barrow, not much better at Fax to be honest. |

Not 100% on this one but the season might be officially over already. Didnt players contracts used to run to the end of October in which case they will have until Saturday. Cutting it a bit fine. |
