To be fair, he's a decent lad is Dangermouse, he doesnt spout the nonsense that some of the other idiots on the town forum do.
In some respects, we need to thank him for exposing what is going on. We can only form opinions based on the information we have and Dangermouse is providing a whole lot more of that than the club or the secret society trust.

Well, having read through that, the thing that immediately springs to mind is does the shop at the Shay give value for money? It appears to cost the club nearly £1,000 per month so I think not considerring that it is normally only open for around 2 half days each week. It may be worth giving it up now that we have our town centre outlet (or perhaps that is what the club have in mind).

FC Halifax Town do have a small shop in the portacabin, not a full blown shop as such but still extra floorspace which is part of the equation when you pay rent.

Surely the fairest, most transparent way to calculate the rent would be by breaking it down to a charge for shop/office space and an equal, per match charge for stadium use for each club??

Does anyone know if anything has changed in the Councils thinking since October when this was published.
