Quote Dutchy the fax fan="Dutchy the fax fan"Well one good thing to come out of this year is FAX TV which has got better every week but we need a shake up of the coaching staff at least and maybe someone to come into the club with some new fresh ideas IMO'"
Ill go with the Fax TV comment, its got better and better

Well done.
I know some people think a few of us love moaning, I can honestly say I hate it, and I honestly would love Karl to push us on, but as many have said, we have brought in some good players, his choices, and although our player budget may not be the biggest, getting the best out of what we have is all we can ask.
Its frustrating and probably an element of this is we have been in this league for 11 years, never once have we been consistent enough to top the table, that might not matter to some, but, we all want to see us doing well and its a fair yardstick. The fear is that we are sliding, and buying a golden gamble, a few beers and cheering them on isn't going to change a darn thing. Its getting the best of our players and trying to exceed expectations that are all we can hope for, we have an aging back room, no benefactor, and that's not any of their fault, its just the way it is, the coaching role therefore becomes even more critical, we must get the players performing, and we must give people some entertainment to either get them to come back or entice new fans down, and keep them. I feel bad for anyone who marketed Sunday, or told friends to come along, winning streaks mid season against sides that are not directly competing for your spot don't mean much, it's the big games that matter. I see over the next months/years The Shaymen getting bigger and bigger crowds, young kids wanting to be part of Football, FA Cup ties, Derbies etc etc and Halifax RLFC slipping further down the pecking order locally and nationally. We could have some very dark days if were not careful.
and before anyone says the 4th biggest budget and finishing 3rd is ok, is it? do we turn up on Sunday hoping the opposition is awful or do we hope to see something entertaining and the start of something special i.e. challenging for honours, money isn't everything, if it was you could dish out the silverware in February and save people a lot of effort.
