The players mentioned are on 2 year deals and although the club may have asked them to re-negotiate. If they choose not to, like some have, then they are still under contract.

For what it's worth, I don't think many (if any) clubs will be stronger on paper this year as the Salary Cap and finances bite. With regards to Fax, you have arguably lost your best 5 players in Royston, Gleeson, Tamghart, Branaghan and Nash (?). These players either haven't been replaced, or have been replaced with, IMO, inferior players. Of course, the game isn't played on paper and I'm sure you'll be just as difficult to beat in 2011.



I could say pretty much the same applies to all the 'top' Championship teams. Leigh, Fev, Widnes and Barrow are all, at present, weaker than 2010 on paper.



Should still be a belting season though.

Branno and Shad I will give you. Although when Miles was playing before his injury Shad couldn't get in the team at fullback..



Gleeson missed 3/4's of the season (think we did well without him wouldn't you say??)



Said again missed a lot of the season through injury, came back too soon was a liability.. (did we do OK without him??)



Nash was good on his day although would often throw a stupid pass on our own line after defending 3 back2back sets.. Hopefully he will be back but who knows he is in limbo at the moment..



Point being we have lost 2 quality performers this year IMO so not a total disaster... Still feel we will be lucky to make top 4 though all truth been told

Why say stuff like this? Having confidence in the ability of your team is one thing, but to start crowing when we haven't even touched a ball in anger is, IMHO, tantamount to verbal suicide.
