Isn't Asda actually built on the Pavilion & Cricket Ground. Though the Bowling club are positioned where the ground actually used to be.



Anyway, its been 12 years. Things have moved on. Get the display in the East Stand somewhere IMO.

Beefburgers? Cheeseburgers? Horseburgers? In Mrs Halifaxjohn's kitchen? take a look at me, do you think we eat burgers?

Cucumber sandwiches, crusts removed, lettuce and celery is the order of the day, yum yum.

It would be nice to have both clubs working together on something at the Shay. OK, not a big trophy cabinet would be needed for the Shaymen. But this is something which it would be good to see the two clubs work together on.

The Hall of Fame IS on show in the East Stand (for rugby matches anyway; when Halifax Town play it is covered up). The display at Asda is only a replica. It is also at The Ivy House.



We have tried to get Halifax Town involved in the East Stand, and have left room for them to have a Hall of Fame too, but at the moment they do not want to. We would love to see both clubs able to celebrate their histories at The Shay.

When Malcolm was running the Fax club shop he offered them room and offered to sell their products.

They refused quite ungratiously. Why?

Why cover up the Hall of fame and the trophey cabinet, I appreciate Town don't have a hall of fame so why not start with some photo's of their own past stars.

Alex South, Willie Carling, Peter Downsborough, the lad who went on to play for Spurs, (sorry forget his name) even Nigel Jemson, etc. put them up along side a trophey cabinet of their own.

It appears that rather than show off their achievments they would rather hide ours.

Sad to hear but it doesnt really surprise me. I am not the biggest fan of the Halifax Town owners.

i agree. to cover them up is very petty really. both should have their history on show there.

I hear from some Town fans your old friend Mr. B is getting blamed for the poor drainage system on the pitch.

With the attitude of the Soccer club and a number of its alleged followers towards Fax, its not surprising a number of Rugby fans like myself have no time for them.

And vice versa!

Bubba, if you look on the courier website you will see that after every game, be it Fax or Town the vitreol comes from the Town supporters, Hellfire, seems to have disapeared, but replaced by some idiot called FCHalifaxtownmassive, a clown called more prooftelling etc, they blame Fax for the state of the pitch, they tell untruths about the ground rent, etc etc.

Personaly I despise football and most of the people associated with it, but, like most Fax supporters realise that without each other the council would "probably" not maintain the Shay.

These people envy Fax's past, mock our future, without adding anything to the debate.

I wish Town no bad ill, good luck to them
