| One thing for sure it's going to be very interesting.
The old names that cropped up for head coach are popping up again.
BUT, who predicted Richard Marshall, there must be lots of names out there we don't even know about or even consider.
Could it be someone he works with already? Warrington or England? He has said it must be someone he can trust. So, my bet? Somebody he has worked with.
Might be wrong often am.

On the below link, the board said Lee Greenwood would return to the club at some point in the future, which does seem a little strange to say when you've just sacked him. I think he would be perfect, great apprenticeship & I'm sure he knows Marshall from when they played together here.

Maybe Dave Clark is an option....? Ex Barrow coach who is RM'S Asst in the England Academy set up...? Knows this league well and can do the role P/T whilst still doing his RFL Development Officer role....?

RM says in this weeks press that he will be speaking to a couple of coaches during this week for the assistant role and also there should be medical staff in place.
The sports scientist and conditioner Andy Hollyhead who RM has brought in will be giving most of the players individual programmes to include fitness, speed, size etc.
Our overseas players will be arriving late November to early December but are already, Quote" Working hard for next season over there." Said RM.
Elsewhere Paul Sykes joins Fev from Wakey and Leigh pay Fev a 5 figure sum for Greg Worthington.

Im only going on what a few of the players have said and even some of the younger kids but Im not sure that Lee Greenwood is the man for the job. I might be wrong as well but I thought Marshall had moved on before LG got his first team chance. |

May well return rather than would return. Can't see it myself as I'd think a new coach would want a clean start but never say never. If RM thinks he's the best man then so be it. |

Quote fax-boys="Marlon Billy"After nearly fifteen years service at Swinton Lions I would like to announce that I will unfortunately be leaving the club with immediate effect. I would like to thank the club and Paul Kidd for giving me the opportunity to go into coaching after my playing days at a club, which I hold close to my heart. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some great coaches: Les Holiday (legend); Steve McCormack, who I had the pleasure of helping lead the club to promotion, and Gary Chambers.
I would also like to thank another legend of the club, my dear friend, Ian Watson who I’ve had the pleasure of both playing with and starting my coaching career with. Ian has been critical in helping my coaching development and shared my passion for making Swinton a club which could be competitive and that was a club with strong values.
The start of the season was one of the toughest times for myself and Ian, as the club faced a massive challenge for survival, which was made possible by the massive efforts by the supporters, Supporters Trust and Dave Jones.
As we are all aware Ian Watson left for Salford to take up an opportunity to coach in Super League and John Duffy was appointed the new head coach.
John came in during the season and has now built his own squad and understandably with that a change to the coaching set up and culture, which I felt was moving into a new era.
I feel I have gained a lot from all the experiences that I have faced and with the changes being made swiftly at Swinton feel that my development and progression lies elsewhere at this time. I would like to thank Warrington who were a massive help to myself and Ian Watson at a very tough period. Also everybody who has supported the Lions through thick and thin. I have loved my time at Swinton.
As I wasn't given the opportunity to say good bye to the boys and back room staff, I'd just like to say thank you for all your efforts and hard work. It was a pleasure to work with you all and massive thanks to all the people behind the scenes who work so hard for the club. I wish you all the best for the future.
