On another note - how the hell did Griffin manage to get a contract at Leeds??? I was stunned when he signed for Huddersfield tbh |

It is disappointing but I think there are many more fringe 1st grade players over in Australia who we will Be looking at. No great loss regarding squad strength because we will find someone else but annoying all the same when we do the work in getting him out of contract with Knights.
I think we need to tighten up at the club regarding protocol on signing announcements also. I heard we had signed Mika on Monday 26th September – 18 days ago. I would rather us not let the info out until all the detail has been completed – we never seem to learn from past mistakes do we?

That's the difficulty though - plenty of fans have been asking for info about signings and the club probably thought they had the signing in the bag and weren't doing anything wrong by announcing that they hoped to confirm a signing from the NRL soon.
Players agents are generally the driving force in a deal and you can bet that even had Cas kept everything completely under wraps the agent would have alerted Hull KR to his players availability.
No great loss to my mind. There will be plenty of comparable players available when Millward goes looking. Its possible that we could be the one's doing the gazumping next time... |

You could be right as there are 21 English players in the squad including 17 local born players |
