I don't want to cause any arguments but does anyone think we will ever get our stadium???? Richard Wright has been promising it for about 10 years and still no brick has being laid, around 5 years ago they put a sign up saying "Waystone, new home of Castleford Tigers" and had a digger that was up there for about 2 years and still nothing has been done and the sign now has fallen down and no digger.



I know we have the trouble with Opus and selling our stadium, but surely we could get someone else to buy our stadium? Other teams have. I just don't think we will get the stadium in the next 20 years

Yes. RW has made serious moves to get a stadium five years ago in 2006.



These things take time - it is a major project and it's not just done overnight. The money we're getting as part of the supermarket deal is far more than we would ever get anywhere else.



The situation is as such that it is in the hands of third parties who are not under the pressures of licensing and do not have any obligations to be swift for Cas. The RFL are fully aware of this and are being kept abreast of the situation and remain understanding and supportive.



I know it sounds silly and it'll probably be dismissed (and I have absolutely no doubt where it will come from) but please do keep faith. It will happen.

As for far from the worst applicant - I'd agree, Cas were better than 2 of the "B" grade teams and both the "C" grade teams around them...how Cas didn't get a "B" is bizarre.

There are, but the licence came with an explicit warning that it could be removed at any time from those clubs who fail to make good on their promises; I don't think anyone is under any illusion which clubs the RFL were talking to when they made that statement.

2 supermarket companies are interested - we now have it down to 1. This has gone to the BOD (of the supermarket chain) for approval. Patience required.

Exactly. I would be more worried about the situation Bradford are in the Castleford. At least we have assets that we actually own!

But the promises are being fulfilled. The RFL cannot force these things in the current economic climate and they have to show a little understanding.



You also keep believing that the stadium is the only relevant factor; it isn't. Cas will be a B licence once the stadium starts getting built.
