A very slim chance but anyone know anything about my namesake on here, the former Swinton powerhouse and personal all-time favourite 2nd row, Regal cup hero, Tony 'fearless' Morrisson?
I heard that he allegedly he packed in playing due to what was then the CSA-related issues but I've never seen or heard anything of him ever since.

I've heard Tony's name pop up in conversation once or twice in the Oldham area. I'm not sure if he is involved with a junior team in the surrounding areas. I will find out and let you know. |

I've just heard a tale that Tony is a Director for a company based in Royton (near Oldham) and keeps in good shape doing 'Iron Man' style events etc. He also has a son who plays at Oldham St Anne's, and hence Tony helps out a bit there. |

I think we only paid £30k for him from Swinton...certainly was good value  |

Thanks a lot for that Grobs! Good to hear he's doing well...reckon his son might be worth a punt in a year or two!
Definitely agree with the workhorse comment, maybe not the most skilful but every tackle was 100%. Along with Fritzy one of the hardest workers I've seen in the pack at Cas.

Saw Kev Ward last week, at Newton Hill petrol station.
Still looks like he could tare you a new Harris if he felt like it.
Lived down the road from us when I was a kid and he was in his pomp, even as a wakey fan I thought he was awesome.
