I think there's some homework you need to get started on, kid.
3 penalties back to back to back for not marking square when Cas were stood on their own line resulting in a Hull try is of course perfect refereeing and didn't help Hull at all did it?
Or do you have more examples of this supposed bollock$ which usually ends up showing to be correct? There's only a couple of times things I've said haven't happened, just because some people don't agree doesn't mean you can ridicule it, does it?
Now I'm used to it from the pondlife who support Wakey, but from one of our own that's just shocking, unless you're one of the ****heads at the back of the WRE who give the club a bad name, which wouldn't surprise me tbh.

Quote kiwiballs="chico's nose"I can't be bothered to read through the full thread, but I suspect that nobody is congratulating Childs on a suberb performance.
There is a couple of ways of looking at this, the first being that it was a incompetent and totally unacceptable performances, the second being that it was an example of blatant cheating????
Either way, the guy should be brought to task. If it had been an ametur game, I am pretty sure that the coach would have marched his players off the pitch in protest.
We were robbed to such an extent that I even double checked that my wallet was still in my pocket before I left the stadium as I suspected that Child could have robbed that off me like he robbed us of the 2pts.'"

For some reason certain Cas fans and Hull fans are getting on there high horses. Both fans can feel aggrieved that on the night Childs one way another cost there teams a try or valuable field position. Certain Hull fans claiming Childs cost us the game which is a fair point to make considering he made some baffling decisions to ease the pressure on the cas line or missed certain incidents. However he did the same with Cas so you could argue you can feel aggrieved that you couldn't play to your full potential and probably penalized you more then he should have done.
I am never a fan of the "best team lost" because in Rugby League in general the best team never loses a game. The point is that last night we will never know who the best team was, Cas defended there goal line very well and I thought we were creating chances at wide but was not taking them.
The point most people are venting is he ruined a game and ultimately has left a sour taste in supporters , coaches and players of BOTH clubs. Cas got the two points in the end nothing can change that but we can change the fact that Childs shouldn't be reffing rugby league games.
What Sean Long did at the end wasn't acceptable IMO however this incident had being masterminded by childs. The players practically brawled every tackle in the second half and this was all because of the frustration both teams had with the referee and he failed to control them.
Well done to Cas and your superb start to the season with no hope of Hull being in the play offs I will be rooting for you come the end of the season.
As for last night we will never know who the best team was in the end, because neither team was allowed to play free flowing stuff.

| I drove to Hull and back from Newcastle last night just for the game. I'm glad I did, I thought it was an enthralling game. Both teams tried to throw the ball about. Both teams where well up for it. It was very tense and very closely fought contest the whole way through, and the result could've gone either way right to the death. I thoroughly enjoyed the game as a spectacle.
However, I do wish (not because I am a Hull fan) that Yeamo had managed to sneak over in the last minute to secure victory. This is because all the justified criticism of the referee's performance would not then look like sour grapes. It really is not. Cas showed up well and are deservedly 2nd in the table, they looked dangerous with ball in hand and defended very well. I did not see a gulf in the teams that the league table suggests though and thought Hull deserved something from the game.
John Childs should be embarrassed and ashamed of himself. I have never seen such a complete and utter inept refereeing display in 20+ years of watching rugby league. The awarding of some penalties was baffling and the inconsistencies quite simply shocking. I really do hope that the coach and/or club put in a formal complaint to the RFL or the RFL take it upon themselves to at least review his display. It is pleasing to read that several Castleford fans (on these boards) have also been gracious enough to admit that some of his decisions left them bewildered. They say a good referee is one that ghosts through a game relatively un-noticed. Well it would appear that last night John Childs wanted to be the highlight of the game and he certainly succeeded in that. It is of course impossible to say what the result of the game would have been with a different referee, but I do fell in such a closely fought contest that his influence alone impacted on the result.
Well played to Cas on the result and well done to the fans for making plenty of noise.

I highlight you because every week i see you on other forums slagging off opposition players, fans, stadiums and you react to any post that might be a negective towards Cas when most posts on other forums are quite complementary, i find it embarrassing who made you chief mouthpiece for Cas?
And with every win i see more Cas fans on this forum doing the same.
Do you expect everyone on the planet to come on this forum and tell us how wonderfull we are? don't turn this forum into a Wigan one, we haven't won anything yet!
Be gracious in victory and be gracious in defeat, remember pride comes before a fall.

| Quote Gaslight="Gaslight"Then why are a lot of your fans saying "we shouldn't be losing to teams like Cas" , "losing to Cas is bad enough" and "we shouldn't lose to the likes of Cas at home" that shows a blatant like of both respect and a view on the game that is realistic.
Or my favourite "Cas don't even look like a good team" ...when really they didn't get out of second gear because of a certain egomaniac with a whistle ruining the flow of the game.'"
I think you will find I said the "majority" not "all"
Every team has fans who think they have a divine right to win everything, part of the game.

| If Cas had lost last night, without one shadow of a doubt, we would have been complaining about the performance of the ref. We won a tight game in which the ref had a ridiculous impact on.

Aye but the majority are not being impartial but biased.
Hull fans think he favoured Cas, Cas fans think he favoured Hull. In all honesty, both sides are probably wrong and in essence the majority of decisions may or may not have been right.
We cannot see until we see the replays.
What we do know is that Radford was sinbinned for a grapple tackle, which is apparently a yellow card offence now.
Long got sent off for an elbow and we also know that it was deserved too.
Cannot comment on the other penalties as not there but players and clubs have to shoulder the blame too. Let's face it, the game would have flowed more if the players hadn't got so frustrated and started throwing punches at each other.

| I recall watching Child's performance at Cardiff and being quite frustrated (not very frustrated because I tend to concentrate on the teams [well Cas anyway and the game).
When I got back and watched the recording, I couldn't find a single one of his penalties where I could honestly say: "That was wrong". 37 penalties in a game was still frustrating, mind.
