So much for all those in the "know" who said he was off to Cas. Must have been the same source of information that said Hardaker had played his last game for the club 2 months ago.

We have made some bad decisions as a club on contracts and recruitment over last couple of years. This one would top the lot.



He is of no relevance at all to this team anymore, purely picked on sentimental. Not worthy of his selection anymore. A great great member of the team from 2003 to 2012, but not since.



We should have moved on. Much better options for the team out there.

I'm chuffed with it. He's clearly just gona be playing a similar role to what he is now. Maybe with a future in coaching with us.

What does this mean for Robbie Ward, who has yet to sign a professional deal at Leeds?

Its a poor move...He offers nothing. The team has moved on. Its harsh as he has been unbelievable for the club over the years but he has run his course. Next year im looking ahead to Sutcliffe, McGuire with someone like Widdop along side them...I'm not sure what benefit Burrow will add...He is nowhere near the required Hooker standard.

On thinking about it, I suspect this deal was probably made six or seven months back, like most are before announcement. The way this season has shown he is not in the clubs plans surely or can offer anything for the next two years. So you might see a change later in the year, ala Diskin and Donald.

I think Rob has been a great servant and ambassador for the club, but old father time etc etc. My view on his contract extension is dependent on how he will be used going forward, I don't want to see him blocking youngsters getting game time. But also on stuff we won't know like the amount of salary cap he takes up. I also think that the club has done a good job of retaining key players, I suspect that this may in part be due to their willingness to retain players in the squad when they are past their peak. If properly managed and balanced I support that approach.

Poor deal though. For all he's done in the past right now it's a waste of cap space and shouldn't be in the 17 as it stands.
