No Richard, there is negativity towards the sport because of the buffoons in charge of the sport. Furthermore, the current SL product is becoming progressively more rubbish year on year as the playing standards decline, whilst the CC has been deliberately demoted during the SL-era to becoming a joke competition. The only way you can hope to achieve a credible attendance is by flogging tickets at ridiculously cheap prices... like... erm... £8 for instance... in the same way that the RFL cannot find a major sponsor for it's flagship competition because they flogged that for the ridiculously cheap price of absolutely nothing to the Stobart Group. And guess what? The flagship competition is now worth virtually nothing to major sponsors just like the CC.



If the product is as good as you claim it is, then fans wouldn't demand that tickets become so cheap before they'll show interest. The economy is not the reason they are so cheap, the main reason is that clubs, administrators and fans alike know the product isn't attractive enough to warrant an affordable price of around £20. Just like the structure of the SL regular season isn't good enough to entice enough people to 13 games unless you give them a ticket for each game which works out at a very cheap price on average.



Congratulations on your whinge about negative fans and good luck trying to entice back all those fans who have disappeared this year. Attendances down by 23.29% this season at Huddersfield compared to the same fixtures last year, eh?



All those damn, pesky negative fans to blame, eh?

The game is being slowly strangled to death due to the backslapping incompetence of those who run the sport. The CC and the game in general has to sell tickets at bargain basement "poundland" prices in order to attract fans, whilst the RFL and their cohorts doff their caps to Sky and flush the credibility of the sport further down the toilet. Yet another nail hammered into the coffin which is accommodation to the CC these days. Good luck to whichever club progresses through to the next round as they'll have a job flogging tickets from now on unless they are priced at around £8.
