In my opinion this season is looking like a write off, with no relegation I cannot think of any better situation to blood our new generation of young guns.

The old guard have been one of the most successful teams I have ever followed, but a time comes, when all great players have to hang up their boots and make way for the young thrusters.

I am confident that we will have some brilliant young players who in my opinion need to be given their head, so come on Leeds, look to the future, look to the youth!!!!!

We are far better off in terms of league position than the last two years,but yeh lets write the season off now because history suggests a couple of bad results means you cant win it.crazy.



When it comes down to it again,we will be close.us wire or wigan nothing in the teams at all.

No I am not kidding, yes we have won the last 2 years but in different circumstances, we now have serious injuries to PEACOCK, ABLETT, WARD, McGUIRE, WATKINS, and BJB, KYLIE is nearly 36 and cannot do long minutes, BAILEY, HALL, MOON, SINFIELD, HARDAKER and McSHANE are out of form, BURROW is out of position, VICKERY should not be in the team at all and just out !!!, MOORE, CLARKSON and KIRKE are not good enough , the only bright lights are DELANEY and JJB for effort and guts, and the two new kids SINGLETON and SUTCLIFFE who have been brilliant over the last two weeks.

We are not going to get stronger as the season goes on, that is a fact.



Lets face it PEACOCK and MAGS could have career ending injuries!!!



Surely we should give youth its head, I for one would like to see us follow the old adage, you have to speculate to accumulate!!!

I don't think the season is over but how we react and how fast we get some of our injured players back will dictate whether or not we have a decent chance during the play offs.

FWIW i'd really like us to go with more youth at least it shows willing to try the lads out and imo their form in the u19's warrant giving them a go.

Its not a fact though is it.



The only player at the moment who looks to be out all season is McGuire....we lost both Senior and Webb around the same time last few years and we found a young player to cope (Hardaker). We have either Sutcliffe or McShane to step up.



If we get everybody back for the Playoffs, barring McGuire, then we're in good shape. Peacock, Ablett, Ward, Watkins could be fresher for missing a couple of months and more experience for Singleton/Sutcliffe/McShane.



We're going through tough times now......this is actually a good thing. Teams should face adversity and have to take a deep look at themselves. Have Wigan, Hudds or Wire experienced the same? We know (and will continue to do so for several weeks) more about our flaws as team in 2013 than many others of the main contenders.



Most people wanted McGuire dropped recently anyways (perhaps even he or Burrow to move on for the young ones), now he's probably done for the year its bad news? I don't understand some posters on here.

Yes, certainly Wigan have had loads of injuries the past few years. Couple that with the fact we lost five top class players last year and replaced them with young players or guys who were written off before they played for us (Matty Smith, Blake Green) then at the start of the season lost pretty much a full pack to injuries i can say we've had it tough .

Huddersfield and Wire also have had injuries(especially Hudds) so it's not a unique thing to Leeds.





But, what Leeds have is a champion squad, choc full of class palyers so i've no doubt they'll be there again at Old Trafford.

Injuries aren't the only things you find out about yourself. We seen more about the balance of our team and flaws in attack. Wigan haven't had a stretch of bad results which have had to make the squad take a closer look at themselves and seen themselves have to pick themselves up....that is when you find out about the character of a team, not when your strolling through fixtures.
