Thaler is clearly IMO the best referee at present; moreover he has proven himself to me to be the best referee for Leeds; in particular it is noticeable that our players tend to get much less wound up and distracted by refereeing decisions when he is in charge. Compare and contrast his relationship with players on the field and that of, say, James Child.

I too hope he isnt too badly hurt , just glad he didnt have to put up with opposition players screaming abuse at him while he laid in obvious agony .

Trying to compare the two incidents is ridiculous. Leuluai made a genuine attempt to prevent a player with the ball from grounding it. McGuire cynically took out a player off the ball who had no expectation of contact. Shame for Leuluai that his Wigan career could have come to an end in such a meaningless fixture.
