I can fully understand why the NRL have banned the shoulder charge - if badly executed, a misplaced shoulder could make contact with a players head and, with all the extra blood they’ve had pumped into them their heads could explode.

My understanding is that the players all have to sit a mandatory cognitive test during pre-season which gives a baseline score. After a concussion the player involved has to re-sit the test and will only be cleared to play once their result is comparable to their baseline mark.



So it's not a specific number of games as such. It depends on the recovery of the player involved.

I dont think the fans will all agree that he hit him high, when i watched the game again and re-assessed the tackle whether we like it or not over hear, we see what we wanted to see, at the time for me it was a good hit, a week later watching the DVD when the glasses come off, he co-pt the chin......
