Good luck to him. If he never plays anywhere else again he managed to get some first grade at Leeds including a WCC. He seemed desperate to become a professional sportsman, so well done to him.



Like I've said before, I fully understand BM's reasons for picking him early in the season, and still think some of the stuff posted on here about him was frankly disgraceful from supposed fans.

Poor error of judgement by Leeds in signing him for me

I thought he earned his chance in pre-season tbh and the defeats we suffered when he played were not his fault.

However he was clearly out of his depth and shouldn't have got so many appearances imo.

Good luck to the lad. He was obviously keen to knuckle down and fight for a place and he was able to fill a gap for a while, but it became obvious fairly quickly that he was not up to it, and has rightly fallen down the pecking order

Genuinely gutted for the lad because he certainly didn't disgrace himself in the biggest game of his short Leeds Rhinos career against Melbourne Storm. The injury he sustained against Hull didn't help his cause but Vickery was never going to get in the team when both our first choice wingers are fit.



All I can hope for now is that he proves his doubters wrong by signing for an NRL team and fulfilling his potential.

He's not the worst we have had, and he won't be the last player of limited ability who turns out. Christ he's not even looked the worst this season.



But a signing that didn't need to be made, and shouldn't have been made.

I've no problem with signing him, in the circumstances. Not a lot to lose in taking a punt of that nature.



What I do have an issue with was his continual selection when it was so patentlty obvious he was out of his depth, especially when incumbent juniors subsequently looked far more comfortable than he when given opportunities.

Even comparison with Rex Terp is unfair - he went on to play in a grand final for St George in 1992.

Good news for all parties. Leeds don't need him and Vickery needs to be playing somewhere.

I actually believe that he was handled well enough. He had a good pre-season (by all accounts) and looked ok early on. I think it takes a while to differentiate between out of form and just not good enough. He could maybe have been dropped a game or two earlier, but not many

One moment will stick in my head about this bloke, its the time he run 40 yards sideways across his goal in one away game with all the leeds fans behind him shout forward go forward haha
