Runover, outside the Scampton Guard Room on the night of the attack
If the Dambusters remake ever makes it to the big screen I'm expection to see 'African American' bounding around Guy Gibson's feet.

Why is it a disgrace?
Did they change the dog's name?
If so was having a dog named 'Ni[igg[/ier' vital to your enjoyment or understanding? If the dog had been named Fido by Guy Gibson would that have made the Dambusters story worthless?

| Having spoken to some GMP officers who were on duty at the last demo, I suspect that if you avoid standing around as part of either 'group' you won't have much of a problem.
Apparently, there were very few, if any, direct confrontations in Piccadilly Gardens and some isolated incidents in the surrounding streets (described by one of the officers as, I quote, 'handbags'). The view was that, ironically, the high numbers of supporters of both the EDL and UAF actually helped to lessen the number of incidents when compared to B'ham.
I'll be in Wigan.

Thats always my view whenever these things are mentioned, the police are a fixed cost, we pay £xxx for them out of our council tax and then they just happen, its up to the chief constables accountants to arrange how they dole out our tax money to the bobbies on the street, but they don't come back at the end of the month and ask for another £800k because there was a bit of a ruck with some racists vs some racists.

Don't organisations like football and rugby clubs have to pay for policing at matches, or have I made that up? I wouldn't have thought the same applied to councils though......

| I suspect it may be a "cost" in terms of officers taken away from other duties to police these demos.
