He is well & truly in 4th place and it was a close call between him and King for 4th TBH... maybe a bit of bias on my part, so lets say Senior in 5th then!

No problem with Sinfield not getting in, He's not been great this year.

You know he is not a potent enough force in respect of returning the ball and turning defence into attack, although his support play and tackling, if he is close enough, is still up to international level. Tomkins at FB, McGuire at 6 and Eastmond 7 would be my choice for England. Widdop in squad as he can cover both FB and half-back. Myler should stay at home and Dobson should get his squad place.

Don't worry, I wouldn't have Wellens anywhere near my England team.



Tomkins is a must for full back (Kyle/McGuire halves), or Widdop if Eastmond is unfit (Tomkins/McGuire halves).

Can't really take much notice of these things anymore, especially as I don't see anything really of most of the players - the odd game when they play Leeds, that's about it.

Looks like a reasonable selection based on relative club success this year.

Same as all fans who will never get to see every player play every game, even the highlights are try's only but it wont stop X fans declaring that our player has been better than your player all year.

Senior's selection, in what for him has, overall, been a relatively poor year, still shows that he's the best british centre in SL which is a sad indictment for our game.



McGuire desrved a place but that is the only non Leeds selection I could raise an argument for.



FTV, has Graham been up there this year? Seems to have been a down year compared to previous from what I have seen though, to be fair, I may be letting the way we did him in the semi cloud my judgment.

Forwards are about right but the backs look poor IMO. Off the top of my head I think this team would have been much better:

Last year I agreed with the team in total. This year I am shocked. Would never have had Senior, Hall, Dobson, Roby, or O'Loughlin in there.
