Mcguire appeared to be running to catch the slow moving carmont.



But then, his knee buckled, instinctivly he grabbed onto carmont to save himself ligament damage, carmont, seeing all this unfold with the eyes in the back of his head, began running like a man possesed, laughing like a homicidal maniac.



Mcguire was than dragged along like a rag doll, his ligaments been shattered from the resulting force. Hearing his ligaments buckle, carmont goes to ground.

Do you think it is possible he could feel something was badly wrong before he grabbed Carmont? If so it is then logical to grab Carmont as McGuire knew his season was over anyway.

Seriously dude, its time to move on. Oh. Being and shanter are sooooo june.

Bluey was a bit cringe worthy there. McGuire cheated and got injured. These unfortunate things happen.

I saw what happened. He dragged Carmont back and fell over, obviously due to his injury. Piggy ran over (Not Tomkins) and stood over him telling him exactly what he thought of his actions. At no point did Piggy touch him. If Mcguire got up I think Piggy may have chinned him though.



Piggy never moved from the scene. If you look at the photos on this site he's still there when Eastwood and Delany come over. Nothing in it from a Wigan player at all.

Who did the physio push away?

If Riddle had made half the effort to support the break as he did to intimidate an injured player Richards might have had another option.



I've never seen him run so fast or so far.

Slopping out time at Nandos?

The thought crossed my mind but in reality I think the injury was caused by McGuire hyper-extending his knee after he grabbed Carmont.

After watching that clip on the skysports website a couple of times I think it was a bit of both.



Danny has his hand on Carmont early on then his leg seems to crumple but its only as he goes down that he really commits to dragging Carmont down.



I wouldn't have thought it's quite as SaintJames descirbes it more that Danny knows he's going down and doesn't want Carmont to get away unmarked so decides that the best option is to risk giving away the penalty.

It was like watching jason vorhees run over to massacre a victim. Not a pretty sight.



Hopefully it'll be looked into.

I've watched the incident on sky using the slo mo, the damage to McGuire has already occurred when Riddell runs over to him, but, Riddell appears to stand on McGuires left foot with his right one.

I can't say that I understand the furore over the shirt pulling it happens in almost every game. Its very dissapointing that supporters are glad that a player is injured.
