 A word of encouragement to all - Sal was bottom in this same competition in 2012 (link at the foot of this post), some may have given it up but Sal didn't and now he gets to lord it over the board.

I don't think I could find any posters who correctly called the eight teams that would eventually enter the play-offs this season.
This years single biggest wide of the mark prediction - costing 9 points - went to the following for placing Castleford 13th - rhinoms, Him, Fat Boy, cymraegrhino, steve slippery morris and junior slippery morris and Phil (Philip) Clarke for believing all the Salford hype.
The combined Southstander SL Table would have looked like this: (out of a possible 61) and would have placed a 24 (5) on the above table

How is next season going to work? Are we to predict how the 12 will look at the end of the split? Or predict who'll make the 8 and how they finish after the full amount of league games and where the 'demoted' four finish in the mini promotion league?

Won't it be much of a much-ness? With the top 8 especially - if the points pre-split are added to post-split you will end up with a 'natural' top 8 based on the season overall.
With those in the bottom 4 that go into the league with the 4 championship teams, I guess the arguement the RL are putting forward is those finishing 9th and 10th pre-split will get a more favourable set of home fixtures than those finishing 11th and 12th.
