Sad to say I agree. Both Peacock and Morley should retire gracefully from internationals....give the captaincy to Graham.



As for the second first choice prop....? Can Scruton step up ?

I asked the question can he step up ? Apart from the obvious candidates you've mentioned elsewhere we certainly need to start looking past Peacock and Morley.

It will be interesting to see if Luke Burgess can make a go of things down under. there is clear potential there, which he has never quite realised. A good, powerful ball carrier. If he continues to sharpen up in defence and reduce his errors, he could be a very good prop forward. He'll certainly have to do that if he wants to hold onto a place in the Souths first team when they're at full strength. If he can do that, he'll certainly be in contention.

With a full NRL season (if he can do that) he'll certainly be a good option

FWIW, I would probably go for Tomkins as Player of the Year and Warrington as Team of the Year, but it's a refreshing change to see some recognition of Sinny's excellent season.

Probably not worth a thread for itself. A few years ago as Francis Cummins was nearing the end of his Leeds career I posted an article from when he was just breaking through which went down well on here. I noticed the number 17 at OT this year. He was sat behind Brian and Jimmy when they were hugging to celebrate our victory. He's normally much harder to spot.
