Two very VERY similar tries. Burrow's was the harder to score IMO. The Saints defender dropped off Brough, whereas Burrow had to make his own space. And as you've implied Gareth, I'd much prefer to be attempting a side step on Wello than pretty much any other SL Full Back! For all his outstanding FB qualities, defending one-on-one against a half back isn't one of them!

In fairness I haven't yet seen Burrow's try v Dragons.... But he does seem to be in a rich long distance scoring vein at the moment. Long may it continue.

Think Brough's try... but with defenders actually trying to tackle him.

Surprised Burrow's long try scoring run doesn't appear to be reflected in his stats this week.



Not many (neutrally observed) tries get me animated these days. The Lawrence one did. My Try Of The Season so far (despite Shenton's attempt on Gilmour.)

I remain massively underwhelmed with this lad.

He'd have been a much better option than Delaney at centre however that ship has long since sailed.

It had absolutely no bearing on my assessment of his abilities as a centre.



Whilst he'd have brought different qualities he would not have been an upgrade, IMO, on any of our right centre options.

I thought Brough's was better than Burrows TBF. Both came from poor defence though where no one really attempted a tackle. The Lawrence try was the best of the weekend though. I had to rewind and watch it a few times at real time the pass from Cudjoe was that good.

For me I prefer burrow try to brough, but agree the try cudjoe created was better than all 3

Brough had to beat an international class full back for his try, whereas Burrow had to beat a winger playing as a full back.

Burrow's was also in the 80th minute against an already well-beaten side.

Brough's try was in the 33rd minute.

Take your pick as to which was the better accomplishment.
