The most noise during the minutes silence was made by people shouting at other people to shut up. How does this help?

Shame. The slight silver lining is that this was not audible near the front (I stand just behind where the old spiral used to be). The racism I mean, not the people proving how hard they were by swearing at the few noise makers.

Anyone who was there and didn't hear that is presumably deaf, or conveniently deaf.
