BJB in talks with Harlequins RU

If we have GH is saving the announcement until our season ends, just in case he can use it to counter balance the dissapointment of losing if we don't win the GF.

I was told by some Rugby Union toffs, they described a Leeds player who had been in talks with Quins and played down there before at fullback but they couldn't think of his name, I mentioned BJB and they said " that's him ".



I just thought it was worth throwing it in, as it's not totally beyond the bounds of possibility. It seemed to me to be something that was very plausible.

I'm not saying it's unrealistic at all mate, RU have and will always be interested in our talent. It's just that this is a new rumuor.

I hope it's true - if he has to go. Wouldn't want to see him play for another SL side.

I do find it a little odd that GH would want to sign a replacement for a perfectly good winger though. BJB (IMO of course) would be one of the top 5 or 6 wingers in the league. Replacing him with a better, but only marginally better, player doesn’t make that much sense.



It could be purely a financial decision though – Briscoe is a free agent and therefore no signing fee and as BJB is still in contract we can get a few quid for him but this would seem a little harsh on young Ben.



It could be that BJB wants out, it wont be the first time that we’ve lost a winger because they got offered a better deal elsewhere – Calderwood anyone?



It’s not like we need a new winger as a priority is it, in fact I’d say it would be the lowest priority position in need of strengthening at Leeds. This is why I honestly believe that there is much more to this rumour than meets the eye.

totally agree. whilst briscoe is an upgrade on BJB as one renowned poster described buderus as a luxury this really is a luxury.



the front row is ponderous and aging rapidly and the need for a class hooker is a must.



no problem with briscoe signing but other areas need changing far sooner
