Having gone through this experience before, you have my greatest sympathy.

You won't be able to see the top tier of the East stand, you won't be able to see the top tier of the west stand. You won't be able to see the screen. You will think Ali Lauatiti and Jamie Peacock are about 2ft and 3 stone. It will take you around 10minutes to walk up the stairs.



When you go up there, you will think "I'm up with the Gods here". Well, let me tell you, you are. When you get outside after the game walking with everyone else, you will feel inferior again and you would wish you had looked down on the planes when you were up there. Well you wouldn't have anyway because of the stupid roof.

I fully expect that by the time we get down from the stand after the game the streets of Old Trafford will be empty and everyone will be safe at home enjoying a cup of celebratory cocoa



I'm setting off soon, we have to have our team of ropemen in place before noon to make a first attempt at the stairs.
