But surely if the ref didn't feel it warranted on-field punishments (even as little as a penalty or 10mins) then how can the video panel pick it up? It's not like an incident in a tackle where the ref might be unsighted and quite understandably in a fast game can miss something. For it to be worthy of a trip to Red Hall surely Silverwood must have noticed the incidents. If he did, why didn't he take any action. If he didn't, how can it be worthy of a trip in front of the disciplinary?



It's just bizarre.

MRP have obviously felt it necessary to bring it up. Doubt Silverwood will have as he would've said something before the play restarting.



That to me says Silverwood knew he was in the wrong.

I think silverwood had a word with bailey before play restarted. It was not clear at the game what had happened but presume it must have been regarding this.

He did, but it wasnt for the acctual push/contact. It was because Bailey then waved his arms about and protested when the wire scored on the same play

I had to watch that about 3 times before I even noticed he had been slightly pushed because he was in the way. It's not like he was shoved when it could've been avoided, he was preventing the defence from sliding.

Crazy decision.

Barley saw Webb make contact. Bailey seemed to push him with arms outstretched, but obviously didn't seem to be looking at Silverwood when he did it, so may not even have known it was the ref. Wouldn't be surprised if one of them cops a ban, but again the RFL need to show consistency in this.

That play was close to where I was stood , and my brother , at only his third live game, questioned wether the ref was interfering at the PTB . Had it been a Wire or Leeds player stood where the ref was stood there would have been a penalty awarded to somebody .





Was he offside , interfering , not square , or obstructing ?



Or all of the above ?

We're constantly told by their apologists that refs make far fewer mistakes than players. That being so, surely it would be perfectly fair for clubs to cite poor instances of refereeing and the refs to pick up a ban when merited. Personally, I'd let Silverwood off with a caution for this one, although I'd make it plain that the backchat and arm waving at TMFMISL ae completely unacceptable.

Funny one this, when coming off is line Bailey did bump into Silverwood, and whilst he made it look accidental he knew what he was doing. Silverwood was/should have been looking the other way at the play of the ball though so was this picked up off video? Or was it for when he started jumping in Silverwoods face when Wire scored their dubious try?



I didnt see the Webb incident, can only assume he tripped over one of his own forward passes and accidentally hit Silverwood.

If I recall, there was a similar incident when Hardaker scored where he obstructed a couple of Warrington players and I'm sure they made contact - has that been cited?

The Webb charge is a joke, absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea what is going on when a player is charged for something like that.



Bailey pushed Silverwood for no reason and should be charged. He was not impeded by the ref, there wasn't a Warrington player in front of Bailey, he had no need to put hands on the ref and I think he knew exactly what he was doing. Not acceptable.
