Quite correct, I have been told from more than one source that Roby is the highest paid player in super league.

The previous highest paid supposedly was Tompkins before he left Wigan.

I have no idea what our highest paid player is on, or how much he earns.

The generally appalling ability of RL's clubs to generate income and market themselves is holding RL back.



Of course many clubs ability to do that would be made an awful lot easier if they hadn't all sold the family silver back in the "good old days".

It's funny though whenever Leeds promote new items to sell on FB/Twitter, you always get some fans bitching about the club bleeding the fans of money. Yes, let's make sure the club doesn't try and explore every avenue of profit it can you dumbasses.

How this isn't the no1 sport in the world is beyond me. The game itself is perfect. Best sport in the world.

2) RL is the best and most watchable team game IMO. Yet it's national coverage is still "limited" What do we as a sport have to do to build the supporter base?



3) I will be watching the RU World cup. I like watching RU, it's not as easy or exciting to watch as a good RL game, but it is IMO still a great game.



4) What I won't be doing is watching it in the grounds, the price of tickets for any England game is huge! Yet demand has been strong. They have taken a lot of learning (and personel) from RL, I would love RL to take the manual for commercial success out of the RU playbook. Commercially they have done a fabulous job over the last 25 years.
