| Just can't reach my Wakey top in the wardrobe. Can Mcdermot lend me his bottom lip to stand on.

| Quote Gotcha="Gotcha"No sorry, but Sutcliffe has never looked the real deal. He had the one good game, which just about every player in rugby league has at least once in their career. Can anyone truthfully say that Sutcliffe has shown anything to suggest he is better than Gaskell was in his first full year at Saints? Then look what happened there, Saints used their head and could see the shortages to his game.'"
Thank god. I thought only I believed sutty was over rated. I don't want to overly bash a young kid who I'm sure is trying his best but he is so far out of his depth is silly.
Is McD to blame, yes in some ways as he keeps picking him but what are his other options right now? Sacking McD will not alter our situation at all.

| Quote Barrie's Glass Eye="Barrie's Glass Eye"I do not think Mac has become a bad coach overnight, however whatever he's doing clearly isn't working. (Players take some responsibility for that too).
I do think coaches only have a certain lifespan where they are effective before they need replacing with a new voice and fresh ideas otherwise a team can plateau.
I think we saw this happen with Bluey, a couple of good years, then we limped through a season and he was quickly replaced with Mac. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened here.'"
Has he ever been that good a coach? his finishes are 5th 5th 3rd 6th 1st and it looks like we will be out the top 4 again, we always have a period like this in a season and it is usually up to the players to turn around our form mid game, he always has a problem turning around our form.
Bluey getting sacked for me was an over reaction and he was probably the coach that I enjoyed watching us play under most (maybe the first 2 years of TS), we played good rugby and were consistant, being as good in regular season games as playoffs. 2010 we were trying a new system of playing right at the line and the players imo didnt get long enough to get used to it, when we played a more direct game at the end of the year we probably would have won the GF if Mcguire hadnt gotten injured.

Problem is he would've gotten slagged off if he didn't give "first dibs" to Sutcliffe anyway because too many are obsessed with having academy lads play. Recall many who wanted us to go with Sutcliffe over signing Widdop around 12 months ago.
I'm another who has never got the deal about Sutcliffe and he shouldn't be playing loose either as that should be a big forward.

Is it that he is out of his depth or is it the attacking shape?
Leeds' 2 most talented halves of the last 30 years in Mcguire and Schofield both rate him very highly and tip him for internationals down the line, surely they would know having played the position?

And Phil Clarke tipped him to win MOS within the next 5 years......if that's not a kiss of death to someone's career I don't know what is.

Not strictly true, we also had our entire training facility wiped out.

You cannot really take what mags says too seriously he is hardly gonna bag a current team mate. Said it before but Ablett has said he is a running threat with some passing ability

Doesn't mags have to tell the world he rates him? What else could he say publicly? As for Schoey, I'm not sure him tipping anybody really means anything.
Don't get me wrong, I really want the lad to succeed but he is like little boy lost at the moment and chucking him in the firing line week after week is killing him. That penalty miss today was down to not handling the pressure as it was very kickable.
Take your point about attacking structure as nobody is shining but isn't a lot of the attacking play meant to come from the SO? Stand-catch-pass is not what a SO should be doing at this level.

I don't see him at 13 either but also like a forward but some ball playing ability as well, we have at least Ward ablett and Cuthbertson there before Sutty

| Wakey have now put you to the sword twice since Christmas, and I'm very happy to be the biggest joke in SL and not be given respect as this up and coming team deserves more teams will hopefully suffer your fate, however it's plain to see Peacock was leading this group of Leeds players from start to finish, he then tips up at HKR and suddenly Chris Chester is on his way, MCD is in trouble and treble or no treble its results buisness and I can't see Leeds rhinos in bottom 4 being good enough, Injuries or no injuries, See you at BV for another 2 points xx

He has been saying it for years, when asked who would be the future England half backs he said Gale and Suttcliffe.
Obiviously he wouldnt say if he didnt rate him but he has no obligation to publicaly rate him when we were possibly gonna sign another half
He does look lost at times, he clearly isnt ready to become the dominant half, hopefully with Mcguire playing first receiver, he can inject himself when he sees an opportunity instead of trying to organise the team as well
George williams only really started playing well from June onwards last year, when Smith and SOL were organising the team, I think we should stick with him for the year at least, if he doest progress then he may be converted to fullback or centre as he clearly has a good running game if nothing else
Lilly should probably go on loan if possible to gather more experience as he doesnt look ready for week in week out 80 SL
We should only buy a half if it a long term replacement for Mcguire, Gale would be ideal but I imagine Cas have him locked on a long term deal, not some Aussie who is looking for a last payday
