Living in the past?
Not really just have seen what red bull have done elsewhere and rather than sticking my head in the sand i am worried.
At this moment we are facing another season without a real chance of promotion.

| What Red Bull have done elsewhere doesn't automaticaly mean they'll come to us with the same intent.
First of all english football is much bigger and LUFC don't require the whole Club to be re-branded to achieve success.
Every Buisness changes it's approach to different projects even within the same field for Red Bull to change the LUFC name would be commercial suicide they'd have nothing to earn from.
However re-naming the ground and shirt sponsorship will have it's commercial rewards there's a new SKY t.v deal done for the Championship ,Skybet are involved with LUFC and it's the 1st time they've actually gone as far as sponsoring a stand (west).
Saying that the rewards for getting Promotion are the biggest they've ever been and in LUFC they join a potential Giant of English football with a hug history so they would'nt have to go as far as they have in the past in terms of re-branding the whole set up.

But it doesn't mean they won't either
Red bulls own words
"We don't do conventional sponsorship"
So the question is what do they do??
The idea lufc are too big is farcical, it's not about how big it's about who is running the club that matters, we are currently run by an investment bank, there goal is to make money nothing else.
I would really look at what they did in Austria, Salzburg had a decent history, as far as red bull are concerned that history doesn't matter.

How recent were Red Bulls own words??
Also it's not an "idea" how big LUFC is it's fact check the History you're harping on about.
Like i said LUFC in the Championship or pushing for the Prem is much bigger than the Austrians and Yanks etc etc.
Revenue wise if they "re-named" LUFC it would take much more £££ for less return you don't need to be Alan Sugar to see that the fanbase would walk away in their droves.
However for less investment and sticking to Stadium naming rights ,Shirts sponsors etc etc their return should be much higher and eventually they'd be partners with a Prem Club which is the biggest League in the world.
Partnerships don't always mean "just sponsorship".
I'm fully aware of GFH's background but they know they'd earn more in the Prem and like everything the product has to have potential to earn and re-naming LUFC doesn't it'd die on it's @$$ before it got going.

Its how they work.
Looking at the comments online i think many would actually be happy to become redbull leeds sadly, it just sums up modern football.
Again you assume that its just stadium and sponsorship they want, they dont do conventional sponsorship.
If you are fully aware of GFH's background you will know they are out for a quick buck, as for being in the premiership we arent there yet and show no sign of getting there this season, how long will GFH hang around? what if they decide to take the money and run. There are no gurantees in football.

| speaking to someone I know very high up at the F.A. he confirms advertising will not be allowed in a clubs name, so red bull leeds is not an option.
bates gone? he had a contract when he sold the club to stay as president for three years.
either ill health, him buying another club, Charlton has been mentioned, or someone else has made the decision.
either ways great news
