He shares a lot of qualities with our kirkstaller based on his opinion piece in the Guardian last week, a piece which sought to justify his stance against allowing equality to spread to everyone on the basis of straw man arguments and non-sequiturs.

Yes, it went along the lines of:



"I know the church has discriminated against homosexuals in the past, but this isn't that. No, no, it's completely different this time. Yes, we're opposing equal rights for a whole group of people based solely on the way those people were born, but we're definitely not discriminating. Honest."
