| Quote Code13="Code13"Apart from some mind blowing arrogance from some posters here '"
See them stars at the top of the page? There's one missing.
But, the thing is, when there was only one, we were pleased, not cocky, pleased. We couldn't get cocky because in the rematch the next year we got beaten by a Bradford side in their fifth consecutive Grand Final, now THAT was impressive. Then we didn't make the final next year, before a run of three consecutive wins at Old Trafford, two of those Leeds on paper had no rights to win.
A blip in 2010 heralded the new dawn of Wigan greatness, all would be swept aside by the new tide of Cherry and White. Except it didn't happen, because in 2011 the Rhinos did it again, from fifth! A feat they repeated this year.
We're not mind blowingly arrogant, we're spoiled bloody rotten. This Leeds team has REFUSED to go away, they have confounded every attempt by every poster on here to write them off, as either individuals or collectively. Leeds fans today are simply UNABLE to hold any other view other than that Leeds are the best side in Britain by a street, because every time we try to believe otherwise they pop up and defy the rugby Gods.
Lets not mess about. If Lunt was financially secure, say he had won the lottery, and he was offered terms at Huddersfield and a play for free contract at Leeds. I think he would pick Leeds, because they are special. VERY special, and he would want to be part of that.

| With the constant references to pay being the only factor in where Lunt goes, people are missing what's probably the bigger factor: playing time. If Huddersfield are telling him he'll be their #1 hooker and will play te majority of every match, that's going to appeal more than the idea of playing part games as Burrow's understudy.

I think , if true, that that would be an exceptionally short sighted view.
Why would a hooker want to go back to Huddersfiled with no real prospect of development other than playing more minutes, when the alternative is to understudy Burrow in the short term knowing he will eventually move into the driving seat, whilst learning from not only in James Lowes, an experienced hooker, but also from some of the best players SL has ever seen, integrating into a team that will without doubt develop him beyond anything Huddersfield could hope to?

| Lunt would've preferred Leeds over Hudds, not arrogance just obvious. What probably happened was that the 2 teams either....
- Couldn't agree a deal.
- Hudds needed him back after missing out on other targets.
- Leeds lined up another signing.
The 'Lunt picked Hudds' line is simply decent media spin by both teams to ensure the guy is more welcome back there than he would've been had the story been 'Lunt deal collapses, forced to return'. Hudds fans will be much more happier to have him back believing he picked them over Leeds.

He wasn't getting any playing time at Hudds which is why he came on loan in the first place.
That may change now with Anderson in charge and, more importantly, with Brown moving to Widnes.

If only there was some reason for the reigning Super League and World Club champions to be so arrogant.......

Why do you think he'd believe he'd move into the driving seat here? He's Burrow's backup, with our coaching staff showing a clear preference for Burrow.
Conversely, perhaps the new coach at Huddersfield has told Lunt he's his first choice hooker and he wants him to play 80 minutes a week.
If your job is a full time rugby player, and you aren't playing much, what are you?

Don`t forget we got the double over you lot this last season, it was only Leeds hitting a purple patch at the end of the season that did it for you. You were no great shakes through most of the season.

Did you think the same of Mo Farah in the ten k? Sat in the pack for ninety five percent of the race, maneuvered into position then outsprinted everyone to the line.
