| Memories?
A hit on Sean Rutgerson (I think) on his debut that was audible way towards the back of the South Stand.
The acrobatic put down in the south western corner of Headingley against Wigan.
His overall attitude and demeanour on the field - a welcome change in a world of increasingly spoilt and petulant professional sportsmen.

Indeed. Seems bizarre now to think that his attitude was questioned before he arrived here.

| Thanks for the memories Ali. Certainly the best overseas import in terms of talent, contribution, success and longevity in my time watching Leeds.
Stand out memories are obviously the try at KR and the 2007 Grand Final try from the scrum. One of my own favourite memories is his performance at Headingley against Hull. I think it was near the start of the season in 2007-9. he scored a try and set up a couple and displayed the strength, power and handling skills I will remember him for

Given the press reports coming out of Australia at the time of his fall out with the Warriors management, which centred around him expressing the opinion that his family and faith were more important to him than winning trophies (IIRC), it was probably fair for there to be question marks about his motivation for coming to Leeds.
Compare and contrast with someone like Greg Eastwood however, and he's been nothing short of a model professional.

| My best memories of will be him destroying Wigan in 2005. Every time he got the ball Wigan just couldn't handle it. He must have made so many breaks or half breaks with an offload that game I lost count

As well they should be. Happily, winning trophies was 3rd on the list.

| Maybe it's nostalgia but I'd still rather have him than Hauraki and Kirke.

Ditto!
Good luck Ali! I think a good run in the Wakey side (or any side) might see him return to previous form levels. Hope he does go well for them, he has been a great player for Leeds.
