Not checked on the Widnes site to verify , but I have read that McShane put through the kick for Cross to score.

That's true, but it could have been any from Hanbury, Cahill, McShane or Cross IMO.



McShane gave us some much needed control and speed around the ruck and we did look a little lost when he went off for a rest.

Interesting that a Widnes fan said he gave them 'plent of zip' at the PTB and he was slated for being too slow at Leeds although everytime he was accused of this it was playing in a team with a beaten pack, It just goes to show how some fans are eager to point the finger at a younger player with limited opportunities rather than seasoned professionals who constantly underperform.

McShane added two Opta try assists to is name for the AH Van and Cross touchdowns. The first for a wide pass play (reminiscent of Cas Away 2011) and the second for a short kick.

I was in the Premier Suite after the Wigan game and it was not good listening how GH was disappeared with the result -

Really hope briges haven't been burnt, McShane at one point was playing really well - hopefully we'll see him again at HQ.

I with tongue firmly in cheeky suggested that Macca would get Cross over for one. Be careful what you wish for.





Nice moment for Cross, celebrated it in a perfect manner, long time coming so enjoy it.



As for macca if he's playing plenty of minutes and games leave him there. Leeds don't want to offer him that at the minute so would much prefer to see him week-in week-out in Super League than in our 20's. Bigger picture.

So, we're writing Lunt off for not living up to a good debut, but at the same time declaring McShane the future after a good debut?
