I couldn't believe he carried on, you could see how deformed the front of his face was. How did it happen?

Has this been confirmed? It just looked like black eye when seen him on the screen.

What a huge loss for you guy's that will be if it turns out to be the case. Takes one hell of a player to play through what he did tonight.



Oh by the way, great win tonight.

He walked past us in the second half and one of my lads said, "Dad, why is his face so funny?" I looked up and the whole front of his face from eyebrow to eyebrow looked like the crimped edge of a pie. I said then he simply must have broken at least one eye socket and probably his nose where the lump was. Looked horrible. He won't be able to open his eyes in the morning if that swells up. So brave.

Puts Andy Farrell to shame (strapped nose) playing most of the game with them facial injuries. What an incredibly brave lad!

He mis tackled Ablett and took a boot to the face by accident on about 22 mins

Massive, massive blow.



Easily the most significant injury of the season. Losing 152 half backs was bad, but losing the Man Of Steel for upwards of 6 weeks is devastating.

Roby's probably fractured an eye socket but we don't know for certain and, even if he has, it may not be serious and so may not mean a long lay off. However, we very much needed him for Wigan so that is going to put a lot of extra pressure on us just when it seemed the pressure might be easing.



Thankfully we have a lot of players on the pitch at present. We would have been seriously screwed if this had happened just a few weeks ago.



Might Wilkin be a good replacement for him while he is missing (assuming he will be)?
