| Quote KCtheKing="KCtheKing"Id rather have kept Potter than apoint Sizzler and I know for a fact pretty much all the saints players feel the same.'"
Yeah, yeah! How many times have posters claimed to know facts where Saints players and their opinions are concerned. Apparently, I think it was last season, there were arguments aplenty between Saints players and Mick Potter but your facts say they'd all rather play for him than Rolls. It's all bollox.

No, I tell you what was bollox, the stories of the fallings out. When you see the saints players around town after a few drinks when they are likely to open up, ask their opinions on Potter.
Anyway, you never answered my question, on what basis are you glad to see the back of him?

Agreed.
Personally I,ve never ever slagged Mick Potter off these past 2 seasons, because I know he's battling on 2 fronts. Getting the young players through and still getting the team to achieve something.
Our previous 2 coaches had 3 legends in Long/Sculthorpe/Cunningham, Mick potter has created a team that will survive and compete at the highest level next season without the 3 mentioned.

I disagree.
All saints key cogs, that will help them compete for years into the future, were there when potter took over.
Saints level of performance visibly dropped when potter took over last year. as opposed to the anderson days.
All potters done is maintained.
Losing sean long does not count as a major period of transition.
Saints have a great youth system and foundations will always be there for success.

Right. They're going to be sharing their inner thoughts with fans about their employer on nights out around town!

I've covered that in previous posts. If you want to know my answer, take a look at the many threads on the subject. We're almost at the end of his tenure now and I'm not going to get into another discussion about him.

Totally agree. The fans who wanted rid of him are pretty clueless.

Yes, they will, they are very accomodating as I know a couple personally.
As for your second paragraph, im asking you to tell me as I cba digging up your previous posts. Or is it because you have realised how much of a kneejerk reaction you gave?

What people forget about Potters first season, he couldn't bring any new players in and had to adapt to the players we already had.
At Catalan he liked having a big rough pack with the likes of mogg and greenshields making stuff happen. At saints he had a small pack, a scrumhalf on his last legs.
It was hard for him to stamp his own mark on saints in the first year but this year it seems he's adapted to our players and the players have adapted to his way of thinking which shows on the pitch.
I'd like to have seen saints under potter next year with perry, LMS and shenton coming in and sia being fit. That's more like the big rough pack he had at Catalan.
If I'm being honest I think potter going is our loss and the bulls gain.

| Great coach, as proved at Catalan and as proved at Saints given what he's had to work with.
Now if only he wore Ray Bans, punched the air and got friendly with the cheerleaders - we could be looking at a living legend.
Sadly, I think he's taken on a poisoned chalice at Bulls.
