If people think we should be deducted points what is the point of paying back creditors?

To minimise the size of the points deduction. Financial impact of relegation would be greater than costs of paying creditors and staying up. A smaller points deduction increases our chances of avoiding relegation.

at least look at it this way, if we are deducted 4 pts and beat london, we will be equal to london, wakey (unless they can somehow beat wigan) and possibly wire and catalan but we should have a better pts difference than them all and we are in a straight up dogfight with them.

Problem is I guess, working with creditors is not, paying back creditors fully, or we'd have said that, so I guess we are paying back, but maybe not fully, hence a mitigated penalty rather than 6 points, or worse.



FWIW I have always thought we should have incurred a deduction, whatever the technicalities of the rules (or lack of them). Whatever the precedence and level of working with creditors. To have been the only club to avoid a points deduction upon entering admin, in a relegation season, would not have seemed right to me.



Admittedly I don't know the full details, this is just a gut feeling working on whats been put in the public domain by the various parties. I don't think our reputation (battered as it already is) would have ever recovered if we survived this season by 2 points say after not getting any deduction. Just IMHO as a not in the know rugby fan of course.



And for all the apparent unfairness, ultimately, as a club (read succession of owners, not fans) we only have ourselves to blame for our current predicament, to go from World Champions in 2006, to where we are now in 2014 is an impressive self inflicted death spiral. Hopefully this is the bottom and we can get through this season on move onwards and upwards.
