Ganson came out and apologised for his mistake, at least be had the back bone to do so, unlike that horrible little creature Klein, Leeds would never have got the penalty if he hadn't illegally spoken to Ganson via his earpiece.

If he extracts it from Ian Smith's ar se first.

Any ref prepared to put himself forward for the inevitable petty bigotry has even more of my admiration.

Or as much as you want to give!

Without wishing in any way to refer to any recent developments, I suspect the pool of possibilities just shrunk by one...?

That was, maybe, a slight worry with the earlier talk, but actually it went rather well. Stu Cummings (for all his faults

) turned out to be a very personable guy and a good, knowledgeable speaker and [ialmost[/i impossible to dislike. All the leading questions were met with a laugh, from both Stu and the fans present, so the atmosphere was actually superb. I'm sure the vast majority of fans will give due respect, because despite all my complaints about refs, I certainly wouldn't do the job myself, so they deserve that.

At the BISA event a few years ago, Big Les and Mick Withers both said that Klein was one of the better refs, as he continually talked to and explained things to and advised the players.



That was before Millennium Tragic,and we learned that he also apparently continually talked to and explained things to and advised the video ref...



I'm sure fans will give whichever Ref we get due respect - and that includes Mr. Ganson if he is able to attend since he at least apologised for that fiasco. ATEOTD, if anyone reckons they can do a better job (even than Child) I'm sure Rot Hall would be very pleased to hear from them.



But maybe its just as well Klein is no longer a ref in this country...

Because they don't miss tackles, drop the ball, hurl it into touch, make elementary misreads in defence, shoot out the line, kick out on the full or make stupid plays.



Continually blaming referees in any sport is absolutely potty. Players are in control of their own destiny.
