I'm not an avid fan of the NL coverage (more often than not I forget it's on) but he is a player I have heard of. I've seen a few Halifax games this year and I do vaguely remember him and I've got Thurs nights game recorded after a tip off about him being our next signing.



His try scoring record is superb and he's been consistently a very good player for Halifax. I am glad we have given him a shot in SL and I don't think we can lose with this signing.



Now a couple of weeks left to confirm who will be 6 and 7 for us next year.. this is the news all fans are waiting for.

I must admit, when I first read this news I was like 'What, really??



However having read his profile and the comments on here I'm feeling quite excited about this signing. If he lives up to his reputation, then I really hope he gets plenty of 'air-time'

Very pleased with royston. Watch fax whenever they are on sky as a few friends are supporters and Shad always stands out. Although we've signed him primarily as cover wouldnt be surprised if he forces his way into 17.

Suspect the lad wont be on much money & is a star player from the Championship so gives us loads of options now for our back 3, something we didnt have last year hence why garbage like Sherrife played every week.



With all the potential FB's we have now in Royston, Platt, Ah Van and Sykes, i think it looks 100% now that Kearney will be stand off next season. Personally i think he's a FB and should play there but with a good 7 then he may do ok there for us.



Would think now maybe 1 more signing to come depending on Orford situation. If he goes we need to spend the transfer money & his wage money on a top class 7 & if he comes back then i dont think we'll sign anyone else & i'd be pretty happy with whay we've got.
