| Quote Ewwenorfolk="Ewwenorfolk"This is what I expected from Hall when they desribed him as 'a hard working, no nonsense backrower'. Elima tackles anything & everything, his tackles are brutal and he makes quality metres. A backrow of Elima, Whitehead Langley is a very very good one imo.'"
Thats why he got vote, brings abit of agro with him aswell. I'd accept the occassional penalty for the extra aggression.

| I like the look of Hargreaves. He's in the Lynch mould, has a high workrate and is error free. He makes ground in attack and seems safe in defence. When we signed him I thought he'd be steady-ish but he looks better than that.

I always thought Hall came with the reputation as a fearsome enforcer and "A tough middle unit type player", as Macca described him. Good luck to the lad, but I'm glad he's gone and we've got a quality backrower in to replace him.

| In a hard choice, I voted earlier for Hargreaves and Sibbit - on the basis that these two are looking considerably more effective than I expected, although tbh I was quite happy anyway with both signings esp the former. My third choice was Diskin, after seeing the mayhem he was causing in their ranks on Sunday - and he was a signing I was dead chuffed with anyway. Seeing him on Sun reminded me of the chaos he caused in OUR ranks at OT in 2004, although I doubt we can expect quite the same now he is that much older.
The easy option would have been to vote for Ah Van, and yes he has very much impressed me too other than perhaps under the high ball, and Briggs. Given a choice though, I'll usually give the forwards a nod since they don't always get the recognition they deserve.

There's only so many times I can hear the phrases:
"We took a lot of positives out of today's game despite the result"
and
"We can see where the problem lies and will work on that this week"
or variations of exactly the same thing.

| Our top signing has got to be Mr Potter without him we would not be asking the question, he's brought in a group of players with something to prove and who want to play. My vote go'es for Ar Van good work rate and a fine kicker of the ball. I'm suprised by the quality of Ian Sibbet much better than expected.

"it's fixable" was one I heard a few too many times. It was fixable with a change in coaching by the looks of it.

Mick Potter was in the last poll and he came out top with 37%.
This is a poll just for the players to see what everyone thinks after the final pre-season game Sunday gone.
