That is shocking, hopefully the criminal is caught and thrown in jail for a long time.

If it IS a featherstone 'fan' I doubt it would be a true supporter. More likely to be a bandwagon 'day out for the final' fan who has had too much to drink.

2 featherstone fans tried it on with a mate of mine who was stood alone whilst we all (15 of us) got beer...they soon bogged off though when they saw us all.....poo houses!!

As I said on the fire thread, we dont need it in Rugby League.

If people want to fight get them in a boxing ring and see how long they last.

Don't think it is a black day for RL. This is a society issue IMO. Truth is if you get a lot of people in a confined space and the add drink to the mix there is always the potential for trouble. Just look at any town centre on a saturday night. What amazes me is how rarely this happens in our game.



I'm not trying to excuse it or trivialise it but all things are relative. Lets hope the fan recovers and the offenders are caught. Lets not be to harsh on our game based on a sadly fairly common every day event.

I heard about this the day after the final but didn't want to come on blaming anyone without knowing how true the incident was as there were a few people saying it was 'fax fans joking around and it was an accident. If it is as the police says it is a disgrace and a shame to the lad, get well soon.

Is there any update on the guys condition? I hope he's pulling through ok.

half an hour for the emergency services to arrive???? the ground is about a mile from the A&E at Warrington General! And surely there were emergency services at the game anyway?
