| Just posted this on the Hull FC board but thought it worth sharing.
I emailed both the Rugby League and the Etihad stadium with some questions regarding Food, Drinks, Passouts and Smoking for next weekends Magic event.
You will not be suprised to hear that the Rugby League did not reply but I did get a reply from the Etihad Staium shown below.
"Thank you for your email.
Due to stadium regulations you are unable to take food and drink into the stadium, however it will be available to buy within the stadium.
Alcoholic drinks are only permitted in designated areas and will not be allowed in the stands.
Unfortunately once you have exited the stadium you are unable to re-enter on a used ticket, and would require a different ticket.
As per the stadiums usual rules for football games, smoking is not permitted anywhere within the stadium.
I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause"
So no drinking in seats or passouts but the biggest issue for me is that families will be forced to pay the inflated prices in the Stadium to feed children. We promote the game as a Family Sport then do nothing to support the statement.
For some of the less interesting games I can envisage more people being on the concourse watching the game on TV having a drink than watching the game live.

| The lack of a pass out system (as per previous events) is a real concern, particularly given the 80 min+ gaps between games on Saturday. I may have to re-think my strategy now as I intended arriving to watch all 3 games, but I'm buggered if I'm getting stuck in there for 8 hours paying a fortune for beer & food.

| that looks more like the generic stadium rules than the specific rules for the MM event.
If true the lack of pass out options is a joke, as is the no alcohol in the stands rule.

| I was gonna watch the first and last games on Saturday. Won't be happening now I know there's no pass out system. Very poor organisation. Most games will have the same or fewer people watching as if they'd been played at a SL ground.

I asked the question specifically for the Magic Weekend so I would hope they have replied accordingly.

| You are allowed alcohol in your seat and there will be a pass out system in place. Seems you did get the generic response.

| There is a guide on the bulls website which says there is a pass out system (get stamped on hand). I am doing this on my phone so can't post a link but was fairly easy to find.

| Another attempt by RL fans to jeopardise this event before getting a real grasp of the facts. Pretty sad really.

not being able to bring your own food in if you had a specific medical reason could be construed as breaking the disability discrimination act.
I've brought this up with several organisations including sports stadia and as they are not able to provide specific requirements one can bring food in.
The only place I was ever stopped was at Cardfiff for the 05 CC final and after a minor grumble they let us through.
