Last time they were in they were relegated, went bankrupt and had poor crowds. They shouldn't get back in ever.



There is Super League at Widnes anyway, why do they want two clubs in the same area (3 if you include Wire) that play in the same stadium???

Why would they want a club who are making a loss, playing in a dump and have to beg to play in Widnes in Superleague

Nice try mucka, Widnes managed respectable crowds despite a miserable final two seasons in SL.



Maybe having two teams in the Wakefield district is in fact a greater wrong, given that they both play out of stadiums unfit for Britain's travelling population.



Widnes will put forward a stronger bid than quite a few of the current stragglers of SL, fact.

How does being relegated in 2005 mean we shouldn't get back in ever?



We never went bankrupt in Super League and actually had the 7th best crowds in the league one year, higher than one of the clubs that are going to Wembley tomorrow.



Why should Salford, Wakey, Castleford, Hull KR etc be given a permanent place in Super League and Widnes not be allowed in?

We spent to the cap, what more could we have done?.



This shows a very well run club and shows what can be done when a club is run properly. Also take into consideration that at the same time as posting these results we are running a full youth set up ( one of if not the best in the country at the moment ).



Im amazed at these results if im honest.

I'm sceptical of the validity of the results, mainly because we lost £1m last year. Maybe the results have just turned out that way.



However being debt free is an achievement for any Rugby League club, that's what I'm most pleased about.

workington have also posted a profit this season i believe.

Location, location, location. If Widnes were to relocate to somewhere out of their position sandwiched between two much bigger clubs in an already overcrowded catchment area their application may be more appealing.
