This is off the Hull KR fans board, it represents many of their fans starting 17's;
Briscoe
Fox
Welham
Webster
Colbon/Hall
Green
Dobson
Vella (c)
Hodgson
Watts
Mason
Newton
Galea
Lovegrove
Clinton
Fisher
Cockayne
10 out of the first choice 17 born outside the UK which IMO is shocking, to have more overseas players than Englishmen in the 17. Only two players who were brought through their academy too. This is up by 3 on the number they started this season with too. I know Salford are guilty of this too however they seem to be bringing through their own quality youth (Myler, Ratchford etc..) and also Crusaders though they are a newly formed club.
My question is, when does a club stop being 'just promoted and needing to have a few extra Aussies' to needing to do a whole lot better than they are.

So you don't find the fact a team has more foreigners than Englishmen in the 17 a point for discussion? My question was when a team can't use the 'We're new to SL, we need some exemption excuse'. |

I agree with what you say but am not too concearned. As the federation trained rules kick in the number for all clubs will eventually be reduced to 5. Any player trained outside the federation who was in SL before the rule was implimented is excempt and classed as federation trained but it wont be long before such players have retired. |
