| Think the standard has just reached a new low (if that were ever possible). Then I remembered Gansons in charge!

| Stokes garbage in the Wigan game.
Hicks letting Hull play at a totally different speed to Cas last night (Hull were laying on for near 10 seconds Cas were penalised if they weren't off in 5).
Thaler with his bipolar interpretations of what is and isn't obstruction.
Bentham might as well have a Saints shirt on tonight.
Child not giving the Hull KR try in the corner.
The standard of officiating is horrendous.

Point of order, stop talking cack, Cas were laying on all night just as much and got plenty of calls in their favour including two head shots that were never called by Hicks.
And if the 'obstruction' was from last nights match, it clearly was never an obstruction, ball WAS outside of the player for starters. The players own reaction was enough as there wasn't any obstruction at all.

| The no try decision against the Hull KR winger was a very harsh call.

Don't talk crap. Hull got away with murder all night, one of the most one sided displays of reffing you'll ever see the losing tram benefit from having.
And you're right, there was no obstruction in the Solomona try, Pryce turned into a footballer and dived.

I don't blame the VR, I blame the rules. Under the current rules the ref sends it up as a no try therefore the VR has to find conclusive proof to over rule that. It's probably fair to say the evidence wasn't conclusive so the try is not given.
I'd rather it be sent up for the VR to make a decision, if thenVR can't make one within 2 mins then we go with refs call. I don't understand why the ref has to make a decision prior to it going to the VR and for that decision to influence the VR's decision.

| The on field call was a joke last year, bringing it back for a 2nd year is an outright disgrace.
That was a perfectly good try tonight and should not have been disallowed.

| "I've got a try"/"I've got no try" is the worst thing about this sport at the moment.
There's nothing good about this type of video ref referral. Nowt!
The ref hasn't got a clue (otherwise he'd give a decision there and then) so guesses at a decision and sends it upstairs to two people who have to try and prove him wrong otherwise they have to go with the guess the ref has had. Utterly barmy and totally bobbins!

| I'm not quite sure what all the whinging is about. I thought both refs in the televised games so far this round were pretty good.
The only issue I have is with Bentham going back 80 metres to check something with the video ref. I don't like that. You've made your decision.
Other than that it's the video ref. With the HKR one I agree the system is rubbish but I'm still not sure he held on to the ball anyway, it's not like it was a dead certain try.
As for the Hull game, yes they should've been 2 penalties for obstruction. The rule regarding whether the receiver has run past the line of the lead runner went out before last season so that's not relevant. What is relevant is that an attacking player, in an offside position, interfered with the defensive line, in both cases. Easy penalty every time. For some reason Thaler didn't give them both as penalties when he should've done.
