just been looking at the attendance stats and noticed its nearly 100,000 down overall on last season and nearly 2000 down on average gates, why you think this is?

It's because Wigan have cheated their way back into being meaningful. They've found an exploit that the referees are too weak to punish them for and have slunk their dark cloud back over the sport.

For anyone confused in simple English he means Wigan have being better then St Helens and he's a little bit bitter..

On SL Stats if you add up the figure for 2009 it comes to around 260000 not the 350000 which is recorded. That means an average for 2009 of around 9600. For 2010, 253000 comes out at an average of 9393 - so little difference.



Also, if the Magic weekend is taken out the avarages for 2009 (8800ish) and 2010 (8750) are very similar. Also, the 14 team league from 2009 means that comparisons with previous years of 12 teams is difficult.

Well our (Hull FC) average attendance went up by about 4% (about 500) IIRC.

Anyone got a table of attendances by club and % change vs last year?

well i think ours went down slightly on last season but expect next season now we signed a certain player it will improve somewhat

Quins RL down 1.6% from 3,436 to 3,380...the lowest average gate for London RL sonce 2001 at the Valley (3,232)
